WCEC has completed the Laser Induced Fluorescence Investigation in the Duluth Harbor for the season. WCEC utilized the Ultra-Violet Optical Screening Tool – UVOSTTM to screen sediments around Rice’s Point in the Duluth Harbor.  The investigation included 197 sampling locations with a total of 5,256 feet of LIF screening in 20 days.

WCEC’s utility vehicle mounted UVOSTTM and skid steer mounted push probe were essential to completing the project quickly and efficiently.  The utility vehicle and push probe fit nicely on a local operator’s barge, the Sea Camel.
